Judicial Inspection Authority launches field visit to inspect courts

The Judicial Inspection Authority has launched a field visit to suddenly inspect appeal and primary courts in the capital Sana’a and a number of provinces.

Authority head Judge Ahmed al-Shahari said the visit comes as part of the authority’s efforts to conduct sudden and continuous inspections of the work of the courts during the third quarter of the judicial year – the Shawwal session 1445 AH.

Al-Shahari’s visits came to monitor any imbalances seen by the committees formed according to the terms of the inspection model prepared by the Authority.

He pointed out that the surprise inspection aims to know the level of discipline in holding sessions during official working days, the extent of scheduling cases until after the judicial holiday of Ramadan, the regularity of work after the Eid al-Fitr holiday, the level of completion of cases with substantive rulings during the previous period, and the percentage of completion of stalled cases.

Judge Al-Shahari stated that the surprise inspection seeks to verify
the pronouncement of the judgments based on the draft and to find out the number of drafts that were delayed in filing immediately after the pronouncement of the judgment and to keep them in a special file in accordance with the law.
