The General Electricity & Water Corporation KAHRAMAA opened yesterday Al Jehaniya 3 power station, built for supplying power to Al Rayyan Stadium. This comes as part of the strategy implemented by KAHRAMAA to develop its power network to serve the vital projects in the country, and in accordance with the completion of the FIFA World Cup 2022 projects.
KAHRAMAA Electricity Projects Chief Engineer, Ahmed al-Kuwari, said the new station is adequate to meet the entire operational requirements of Rayyan Stadium. Built with a 40MW capacity power, the project is one of five key station KAHRAMAA has allocated for the requirements of the World Cup 2022 projects. He added that the cost of founding the station and carrying out other works is estimated at QR90 million.
