His Majesty King Abdullah II on Friday met, in the presence of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, in two separate meetings with World Bank Group President David Malpass and International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva.
The two meetings touched on Jordan’s efforts in implementing development and economic plans that aiming at creating job opportunities, increasing investments and improving the business environment and basic services to achieve growth while maintaining economic stability and protecting a larger segment of families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Means to support Jordan’s economy to recover from the recent crisis by the international institutions were discussed during the meetings.
The meetings were attended by the director of His Majesty’s office and the Kingdom’s ambassador in Washington.
