Kuwait calls for setting up technology in Arab countries’ educational sector

Kuwaiti Minister of Education and Higher Education Hamad Al-Adwani on Wednesday called for overhauling the teaching sector in the Arab world and integrating modern technology into the curricula.

Al-Adwani, speaking at the inaugural session of the 13th conference of the Arab ministers of education, has affirmed that digital transformation constitutes a major challenge for the educational sector in the Arab world. However, it may prove an opportunity “to improve the quality of education and create an environment that motivates students toward learning and exploring and innovating.” “In the shadow of the rapid developments, we ought to step over the traditional hurdles and adopt modern and innovative technologies to facilitate education,” he said. “We caNnot attain such goals alone; we ought to cooperate and share those who possess the expertise and the know-how and the technology.” He called for focusing on developing the infrastructure of digital learning and training cadres on modern technologies to advance the sector.
