Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Affairs Sheikh Ahmad Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on Thursday received a telephone call from UAE Minister of State for Defense Affairs Mohammad bin Ahmad Al Bowardi, congratulating Sheikh Ahmad on assuming the new ministerial post.
The Ministry of Defense said in a statement that Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad expressed deep gratitude to the UAE official for his sincere and brotherly sentiments that depicted depth of the close and historic relationship between the two brotherly countries.
The two sides discussed issues of common concern, latest developments on the regional arenas and mutual cooperation.
