Libya’s Storm Floods: Death Toll Rises to More Than 2,000


The death toll from the torrents and floods resulting from Storm Daniel that struck several areas in eastern Libya has risen to more than 2,000, while thousands of people are missing.



According to local sources in Libya, the floods swept residential neighborhoods into the sea along with thousands of residents.



The situation was described as “catastrophic and unprecedented in Libya.” An air bridge from Tripoli to the eastern region to transport critical cases was established, according to Libyan News Agency (LANA).
