Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Hassan Al-Amir on Wednesday launched the second phase of the programs of the Ministry’s training plan for the second quarter of 2023.
During the inauguration, the Minister of Tourism, in the presence of undersecretaries, directors of public affairs and employees, stressed the importance of the second phase of training programmes, starting with the holding of a course aimed at 20 management leaders, in the field of strategic planning, management and follow-up of professional projects, in accordance with the methodology of the national vision.
He stressed the importance of participants’ keenness to make the most of the contents and themes of the session, as they were important in raising management capacities, efficient planning, management and follow-up of tourism development projects.
The Minister of Tourism also stressed the importance of the management leadership sensing the responsibility and requirements of the stage, by establishing a sustainable tourism business, capable of contributing to the construction process and economic development in the long term.
During the previous stages, the interest in tourism had fallen short of Yemen’s unique tourism assets and attractions, or of national aspirations to promote the sector, compared to the enormous potential available at that time.
Minister Emir noted the interest of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council in the tourism sector. He stressed that the Ministry’s leadership would spare no effort in achieving the principle of equal opportunities and applying standards of efficiency and competitiveness, and would adopt plans, projects and programmes of high economic relevance to contribute to the promotion of the tourism sector.
For his part, Undersecretary of the Tourism Development Sector Abdu Mahdi stressed the importance of the contents of the course and the training plan program in raising the efficiency of the targets in various fields of tourism work. Praising the Ministry’s leadership’s interest in training and rehabilitation for its staff in various fields.
The Director of Planning, Head of the Executive Unit of the Ministry’s National Vision, Anwar Numan, reviewed the training course programme, guides and approved models in project implementation and project management.
