Ministry following up on two Jordanians detainees in Israel

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Thursday said it has been following up, through the Jordanian embassy in Tel Aviv, on the condition of two Jordanian citizens detained in Israel.

In a press statement, Ministry Spokesperson Dhaifallah al-Fayez said that the embassy will visit the two detained citizens next Sunday to look first hand at the conditions of their detention and to provide the necessary support, follow up on their matters, and to check on their physical and psychological health.

Al-Fayez indicated that the Israeli authorities agreed to the visit request yesterday, noting that the ministry will continue to follow up on the developments of the matter with the Israeli authorities to preserve the two Jordanians’ legal and human rights and to release them as soon as possible.
