Ministry of Economy and Planning Participates in OECD EPC, RPC Meetings in Paris


Paris, A delegation from the Ministry of Economy and Planning, headed by Deputy Minister for Policies and Economic Planning Rakan Alsheikh, took part in the meetings of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Economic Policy Committee (EPC) and Regulatory Policy Committee (RPC), held at the OECD headquarters in Paris from April 10 to 11.

The EPC works closely with the OECD Economic Department and is responsible for monitoring the economic policies of member states, as well as for conducting macroeconomic and structural analyses.

RPC is tasked with evaluating and analyzing regulatory policies in member states and other participating countries.

Throughout the meetings, guidance and consultations on economic, social, and environmental legislation were provided.

Discussed at the meetings were the main macroeconomic issues facing the world, including economic growth, labor, pension systems, and public finance, as well as studies on specific topics the committee had done under its manda
te.
