The Ministry of Electricity and Energy announced the reduction of the tariff price for the power unit sold to consumers by the Public Electricity Corporation from (243 riyals / kWh) to (230 riyals / kWh).
An official source in the ministry explained to Saba that the decision issued by the Minister of Electricity in the caretaker government, Dr. Muhammad Al-Bukhaiti, stipulated that the price of the tariff of the electric power unit sold to all categories of subscribers with a segment (1-2999 kWh) by the areas of the Public Electricity Corporation, including the independent generation areas, at 230 riyals / kWh, in the bi-monthly session starting from Friday, 20 Shaaban 1445 AH corresponding to March 1, 2024 AD.
The decision also stipulated that the tariff for the rest of the segments will remain the same in accordance with Ministerial Resolution No. 41 of 1445 AH issued on 20/7/1445 AH corresponding to 31/1/2024 AD, and the decision excluded the exceptional reduced tariff in the governorates of Hodeidah and
Al-Jawf.
This comes within the framework of the keenness of the leadership of the Ministry and the Foundation to alleviate the suffering of citizens, especially in the blessed month of Ramadan, in implementation of the directives of the revolutionary and political leadership to do so.
