Doha- Moroccan international striker Abderrazak Hamdallah will rejoin Qatar Starts League side El Jaish ahead of Qatar Cup final against Al Sadd on Saturday evening, the club announced on Thursday.

Hamdallah was officially registered by Qatar Football Association (QFA) for the final as a replacement for Brazilian defender Lucas Mendes who suffered a fractured cheekbone in El Jaish’s 2-1 win over Lekhwiya in last weekend’s Qatar Cup Semi-final.

Hamdallah, last season’s joint top goal scorer, missed the whole QSL campaign through a serious knee injury. He has recovered in time for the final and confirmed his fitness ahead of Saturday’s 7 p.m. kick off.

The striker’s return will be a major boost for Sabri Lamouchi’s lot, with the Moroccan international scoring the winning goal from the penalty spot in the dying moments as El Jaish defeated Lekhwiya 2-1 last year to lift their second Qatar Cup title.
