Amman, The Russian Foreign Ministry has delivered a note to the US Embassy which rejected the accusations brought against Moscow over alleged violations of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said on Thursday.

According to Ryabkov, Russia has also stressed in its note that the United States had not taken the measures needed to address its own violations of the treaty.

On Saturday, the United States suspended its obligations under the 1987 INF Treaty, alleging that Russia was in breach of the agreement, claims which Moscow has long refuted.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on the same day that the country had likewise suspended its obligations under the deal. He stressed that Russia would not initiate any new negotiations on the matter.
