Moscow, Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has reiterated its commitment to delivering more components “S-400” air defense system to Turkey.
The defense ministry said in a statement Monday: “The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation delivered components of the “S-400″ air defense system to Turkey on July 14 as part of following through on Russia’s commitments according to the agreement.”
Earlier on that same day, Turkey’s Ministry of National Defense said that seven Russian planes carrying components of the “S-400” had arrived in Turkey.
The U.S. has threatened to impose sanctions on Turkey in case the latter carried through with the purchase of the Russian air defense system and will prevent it from taking part in developing the U.S. jet fighters F-35.
