The workshop of the 'FIRST Technical Colloquium 2019' for Cyber Security that is organized by the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) in corporation with 'FIRST Technical Colloquium 2019', launched yesterday in Doha, coinciding with STAR 7, Qatar's National Cyber Security Drill exercises, hosted annually.

Engineer Khalid Sadiq Al Hashimi, Assistant Undersecretary for Cyber Security Sector at the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) confirmed that under the state's digital transformation and growing dependency on Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Internet, especially by the vital sectors such as the financial sector, energy, education, health, and transportation sectors in providing efficient and high quality services; Qatar has given a special priority to Cyber Security issues and protection of vital national information infrastructure, providing a secure environment to all sectors to provide integrated and secure e-services, especially in the state of cyberspace that is not attached to any limits, which may give some malicious persons the chance to hack the data of individuals and companies, and harm them.
