The Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, recently held a meeting with senior scholars and muftis from the Horn of Africa in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This meeting took place as part of the MWL Secretary-General’s official visit to the Republic of Ethiopia.
During the meeting, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa underscored the importance of upholding Islamic values and fostering collective Islamic action. He also emphasized the crucial role of scholars in promoting moderate values within societies, particularly in promoting harmonious coexistence and mutual respect among the diverse components of their respective nations.
Furthermore, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa had a separate meeting with the president of the Supreme Islamic Council of Ethiopia, Haji Ibrahim. In this meeting, they emphasized the significance of strengthening Islamic endeavours and solidifying their alignment with the national system. They also stressed the importance of humanitarian work in order to provide an accurate representation of Islam to everyone.
