Barcelona, - Rafael Nadal is one victory away from achieving a 10th Barcelona Open title after beating Horacio Zeballos 6-3, and 6-4 in the semi-final on Saturday.

Nadal is fresh from winning a record 10th Monte Carlo title last weekend. He will face Austria's Dominic Thiem, who defeated Andy Murray 6-2, 3-6, and 6-4 earlier. The 30-year-old Nadal has now won nine consecutive matches and is 19-1 in his past 20 sets. He's yet to drop a set this week in Barcelona. The Spaniard will go for his 71st tour-level title and his 51st clay-court crown against Thiem.

Zeballos was trying to reach his third career ATP World Tour final and his first since Vina del Mar in 2013, when he beat then-World No. 5 Nadal in the final. But Nadal was decidedly too much for the Argentine on Saturday.

The final will be the 106th for Nadal in his professional career. He improved to 52-3 lifetime at the ATP World Tour 500 event. (QNA)
