ABU DHABI, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Commissioner-General of Expo 2020 Dubai, received Julio Simon Castaños Zouain, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to the UAE.
During the meeting, Sheikh Nahyan welcomed Castaños Zouain, and both sides discussed the cooperation between the UAE and the Dominican Republic and ways of strengthening them.
The two countries have strategic and deep-rooted ties, which have advanced due to the support of their leaderships, Sheikh Nahyan stressed, commending the Dominican Republic’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai and the cultural attractions of its pavilion.
Castaños Zouain highlighted his country’s keenness to enhance its cooperation and support its partnerships with the UAE, most notably in renewable energy, trade and logistics.
He also lauded the UAE’s efforts to promote international cooperation and address global challenges.
