New e-services to be launched next year-Digital Economy Minister

Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Ahmed Hanandeh, said new electronic services are scheduled to be launched next year, mainly “Mustandati: My Documents” Portal.

Speaking at a meeting on Wednesday, with Senate’s General Services Committee, headed by Mustafa Hamarneh, Hanandeh said “My Documents” portal helps citizens get birth and non-conviction certificates online, which are electronically documented, to achieve ‘paperless’ institutions, in addition to accessing social security data.

The projected e-services also include the launch of “My Companies” Portal, which will serve the investor sector, in addition to empowering electronic signature through an e-card designed for this purpose, he pointed out.

Jordan’s digital transformation project, which is supported by a group of donor institutions, primarily UNICEF and the World Bank, aims to create a unified national registry that includes an active digital identity, according to the minister.

The Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, he said, is making efforts to implement its strategic e-transformation plan, highlighting the most important achievements in expanding the digital infrastructure, which include establishment of a service data center for Jordanian public institutions and ministries.
