ABU DHABI, The National Human Rights Institution (NHRI) has condemned the targeting of civilians and civil facilities in the UAE, which caused the death of a number of civilians and left many injured, especially as such actions constitute a blatant violation of all international laws and charters of human rights.
“While the NHRI expresses its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery, it also calls on the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to take necessary measures towards condemning such crimes and their perpetrators,” said the statement.
The National Human Rights Institution is cooperating and coordinating with national human rights institutions and organisations towards aligning international stances with regard to criminal attacks on civilians, the entailed threat to peace and security and disregard of international human right law, with that of the Human Rights Council in Geneva.
