Amman, One person was killed and six were injured, including four policemen and two citizens, when riots erupted in Ajloun governorate, Public Security Department (PSD) Spokesperson Lt. Colonel Amer Sartawi said.
Sartawi, in a statement, said that said that PSD and gendarmerie stopped a car and asked the persons inside for identifications, but the two refused the police request and resisted them.
After the incident the two citizens phoned their relatives and attacked the security check point, where the police dealt with the attackers by using tear gas, Sartawi added.
The police, Sartawi said, took control of the situation, dispersed the people, and arrested the two persons who resisted them.
