Ontario reports 12 COVID-19 fatalities, 306 infections

Health authorities in Ontario, the largest Canadian province, recorded 12 new deaths from COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the death toll to 9,804 since the beginning of the pandemic.

Ontario also recorded 306 new infections, bringing the caseload in the county to 595,020, including 579,080 patients have recovered, according to the authorities statement.

The statement indicated that there are currently 242 patients being treated in the province’s hospitals, including 153 in intensive care units.
