Parliament listens to speaker’s message addressed to head of Salvation Government

The parliament, in its session today, chaired by Speaker Yahya Ali Al-Ra’i, listened to his message addressed to the Head of the National Salvation Government, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, which determined the government’s attendance at Wednesday’s session to discuss a number of important issues and topics.

In the session, the parliament reviewed the draft agenda of the House for the first period of the first session of the 19th annual session, which included a number of important issues, whether related to the performance of service funds – revenues and expenditures.

Where the discussions stressed the importance of uniting efforts to confront the economic war and the repercussions of the blockade imposed by the aggression coalition on Yemen and the disastrous effects of the repercussions of transferring the functions of the Central Bank, the deterioration of the currency exchange in the occupied Yemeni provinces, and the systematic looting of the wealth of the Yemeni people.

In addition, the Council listened to a question by Council member Muhammad Mansour Al-Bakri, addressed to the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Finance, about the legal justification for setting up a new mechanism for collecting sales tax, value-added tax, commercial and industrial profits tax on some imported goods.. calling for the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister Finance to answer questions and inquiries in the next session.

In a related context, the House of Representatives listened to a question by Parliament member Ali Baghawi Balda directed to the Minister of Electricity and Energy regarding the issuance of a decision to determine the electricity pricing matrix in the private sector, while the pricing in the Al-Duha district in Al-Hodeida province is still at 300 riyals without any consideration for people’s conditions and their suffering from some station owners commercial electricity and their non-compliance with the decisions of the Ministry.
