Parliamentary Legal Discusses The Draft Law Of The Federation Council

The Legal Committee held a meeting chaired by MP, Rebwar Hadi, head of the committee, and the presence of its members today, to discuss the laws on its agenda.

The media department in Parliament stated: “The committee decided at the outset of the committee meeting to send a draft law of the Federation Council to the presidency of the council to include it on the council’s agenda for the first reading.”

On the other hand, the committee discussed the quarterly report of the Independent High Electoral Commission, and the committee decided to host the commission to inquire about some paragraphs of the report.

On the other hand, the Parliamentary Legal Committee agreed to form a small committee that includes in its membership a number of committee members to coordinate and follow up with the Bar Association regarding organizing workshops to discuss the draft legal aid law.

In the same context, the meeting discussed a draft law dealing with the period for receiving applications stipulated in Law No. (13) for the year 2016, the first amendment to the Law of Returning Documents Bearing Alias for Displaced and Immigrants No. (79) for the year 2012, and the committee decided to host the Minister of Immigration and the Displaced and the executive authorities concerned with implementing project of law .

The meeting dealt with the study of submitting a proposal for a law to regulate the conduct of government contracts, and the committee recommended studying the issue and submitting proposals in this regard./ End
