Director-General of the Jordan News Agency (Petra) Fayeq Hijazin and the Amman Office Director of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) Abdul Rahman Soylu on Monday discussed prospects of joint cooperation, especially in the media training area.
Hijazin and Soylu agreed to boost cooperation in various fields to develop practical training programs to meet the needs of journalists and help them put theoretical knowledge into practice, using modern methodologies and techniques.
Hijazin lauded the cooperation and coordination with TIKA in the field of media training and enhancing the capacities of journalists, reviewing the most prominent areas and services provided by the agency in this area.
During the meeting, Soylu briefed Hijazin on the TIKA's key training programs and workshops implemented the past two years in Jordan, in which a number of journalists participated in, commending cooperation with Petra and Jordanian media institutions.
