Amman, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation and Minister of State for Economic Affairs, Mohammed Al-Asas discussed with British Secretary of State for International Development, Rory Stewart, enhancing bilateral relations.

The meeting tackled the London 2019 initiatives follow up to support and develop the Jordanian economy and economic reforms undertaken by Jordan based on the five-year plan to launch growth and investment in order to create jobs and self-reliance.

The British official said he understands the current challenges facing Jordan, stressing his country's support to Jordan in various international forums.

He expressed his admiration for Jordan and its economy's ability to deal with external challenges.

Both officials also discussed means of boosting bilateral ties and the current regional situation.

Minister Al-Asas briefed the British minister on the economic situation in the Kingdom, efforts to increase growth and employment rates for Jordanians and the Jordanian government's priorities for the next stage.
