London, Sam Allardyce failed to make a winning stat at Crystal Palace, as his side drew 1-1 with Watford in the Premier League.
The team started out strong and took the lead through France international Yohan Cabaye. They could have made it two goals but Christian Benteke's weak penalty was easily saved by Hureulho Gomes. And Palace ultimately paid the penalty for that miss when Deeney converted a spot-kick of his own for his 100th Watford goal in the second half.
Allardyce was the manager of England but was sacked earlier this year after reports he was allegedly involved in giving advice on how to circumvent third-party ownership.
The draw leaves Crystal Palace in 17th place with 16 points. Watford meanwhile have 22 in 11th place.
