PSD chief, South Korean envoy discuss security cooperation

Director of the Public Security Directorate (PSD) Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh and South Korean Ambassador to Jordan, Lee Jae-wan, on Wednesday discussed ways to enhance various aspects of cooperation between the two public security agencies in the two friendly countries.

Hawatmeh lauded the mutual cooperation in many police, security and training fields and the exchange of expertise.

He underlined the importance of this meeting in enhancing this fruitful cooperation, which provides an opportunity to check on security and police expertise best practices, openness to security services in various countries of the world, exchange successful and advanced expertise, introduce them into our security system, and keep abreast with developments in the fields of maintaining security, combating crime and enhancing capabilities.

The Korean ambassador commended the advanced position of the PSD at regional and international levels.

He said that the PSD achievements have enabled it to face all challenges and incidents, adding that the Korean government is keen on enhancing ways of cooperation with the Jordan’s PSD in various fields.
