Public Prosecutor’s Office in Hodeida release 92 prisoners

The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Hodeida released 92 prisoners who had served three quarters of their sentences and had no special rights for others.

This came during the field landing of the Chief Prosecutor of the Provincial Appeals Procuratorate-Chairman of the Police Release Commission, Judge Hadi Aida, together with the prosecutors of the first instance, to inspect the central prison and inspect prisoners’ conditions.

The Chief Appeals Prosecutor explained that the decision to release was based on the directives of the Attorney General, Judge Mohammed Al-Dailami, to inspect the central prison in Hodeida on the occasion of the month of Dhi ‘al-Hajjah and to relieve prisoners of the severity of the heat and the prisons from overcrowding.

According to the results of the inspection, 92 prisoners sentenced to deprivation of liberty had been released, who had served three quarters of the term, had no special rights for others, had not been appealed, did not constitute social danger and were not precedents.
