WEIHAI , China, Qatar's beach handball team won the AHF Asian Beach Handball Championship for the fifth time in a row after beating Oman 2-0 on Monday in the final of the seventh edition, which ended in the Chinese city of Weihai with the participation of 12 teams.
In this tournament, Qatar team qualified for the next edition of the World Championships (Italy July 2020) and also secure the participation in ANOC World Beach Games in October in Doha.
Following this victory, the President of the Qatar Handball Association, and AFC Vice President Ahmed Shaaby offered this achievement to HE President of Qatar Olympic Committee Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani , and to all supporters of Qatari handball. He praised the players and congratulated them on their outstanding performance throughout the tournament.
Qatar national team manager Salem Al Dosari expressed his pleasure of winning the title after winning all the matches and said that it is rare for a beach team to win in all games, so the management is very happy and proud of the players. Al Dosari also thanked the players who were with the team in the preparation phase, and did not participate in the tournament.
