DOHA, Qatar handball team beat Iran in the first test match held on Tuesday between the two teams in Duhail Sports Hall in the framework of their preparations for the Asian qualifiers for the Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020), which will be held in Doha from October 17 to 26.
Qatar handball team imposed its superiority throughout the game, where the Qatari team finished the first half by 16-11 and moved further in the second half to seal the win in the end by 18 goals difference.
The two teams will meet in a second match on Thursday, which will be the final test of the Qatari team before the qualifying matches for the Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020).
The Qatari team will play in the qualifying first group which includes Saudi Arabia, India and Hong Kong, while Iran will play in the second group against Kuwait, Bahrain and South Korea.
