Qatar hired more Jordanian teachers-says its education minister

Qatar’s Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Wahed Al Hammadi, said the ministry has recently hired some 530 Jordanian teachers.

Of the new teachers hired to teach in Qatar, he said 416 were locally contracted, while 114 others were recruited in Jordan.

The minister noted the new Jordanian teachers, who were contracted in Jordan, teach many educational disciplines, especially English, maths, physics and chemistry.

In a speech he delivered on the occasion of the start of the school year in Qatar Sunday, Al Hammadi said blended education has become the “best” option to ensure continued educational process and ensure quality education while maintaining the students’ health and safety.
