Doha, Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index gained 170.18 points (+1.69%) this week when the bourse closed Thursday afternoon at 10,224.13 points.
Trading value during this week increased by 25.25% to reach QR 1,630,502,507.29 compared to QR 1,301,755,541.53.
Trading volume increased by 18.06% to reach 54,988,111 shares, as against 46,574,760 shares, while the number of transactions rose by 36.17%, to reach 21,845 transactions as compared to 16,042 transactions.
Market capitalization rose by 2.01% to reach QR 551,013,180,059.62 as compared to QR 540,144,371,108.15 at the end of previous week.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value this week with 41.36% of the total traded value. Industrials sector accounted for 22.13%. Real Estate sector accounted for 15.71% and Telecoms sector, which accounted for 10.73%.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded volume this week with 33% of the total traded volume. Real Estate sector accounted for 26.35%. Telecoms sector accounted for 19.25% and Industries sector accounted for 14.57%.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded number of transactions this week with 37.55% of the total number of transactions. Industries sector accounted for 20.78%. Real Estate sector accounted for 16.97% and Telecoms sector accounted for 10.50%.
From the 44 listed companies 30 ended this week higher, while 11 fell and three unchanged.
Qatar Islamic Bank led trading value during this week accounted for 9.92% of the total traded value. QNB accounted for 8.67% and Industries Qatar accounted for 7.09%.
