Doha, – The first International Exhibition for Food, Beverage and Process Technology in Qatar from April 2-4.

The exhibition will showcase food brands and technology from 15 countries around the globe. A statement released to the press today from GOIC said that Al Fajer Information and Services and Gulf Marketing from the UAE have organized the event in Qatar.

GOIC Secretary General Abdulaziz Bin Hamad Al-Ageel said that GOIC’s role as a regional diplomatic organization aims to achieve industrial cooperation and coordination to reach economic integration in the GCC region.

“In light of the importance of food products manufacturing and its vital role in achieving food security and self-sufficiency, GOIC decided to hold the 1st Forum of GCC Food Products Manufacturers and Food Security Program in parallel with the 1st International Exhibition for Food, Beverage and Process Technology (FOODEX) in Qatar,” he added.

Foodex Qatar will give the food industry in the Middle East and especially Qatar a wider horizon and will encourage the world leaders in the food business to set up their operations in the richest economy, besides creating investment opportunities for the local businessmen to tie up with the brands names in the food business.

GOIC is a regional organization that brings together the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait and the Republic of Yemen. It is based in Doha, Capital City of Qatar. It is an advisory knowledge-based institution aiming at developing regional industries by providing data, information, specialized researches, consultations and technical services for the public and private sectors in GCC countries.
