Qatar Wins a Gold Medal in Final Day of Arab Shooting Championship

Kuwait, Qatar’s shooting team won a gold and a bronze medal today, the final day of the 13th Arab Shooting Championship that took place in Kuwait.

Qatar’s Hamad Al Marri won a gold medal in the double trap competition. Qatar won the bronze medal in a shooting competition for teams. Kuwait and the UAE came first and second respectively. The total number of medals achieved by Qatar were seven, five in the team competitions and two by individuals.

Qatar Shooting & Archery Association Ali Mohammed Al Kuwari congratulated the participants for the strong performances. He added that the medals achieved by Qatar shows that the association has been working on promoting the sport. Al Kuwari also said that they will look to keep progressing and developing their players to achieve even better results in the future.

Gold medalist Hamad Al Marri said that he benefited a lot from competing against Arab and GCC players, due to their experience in the game. He added that coming first in the double trap will give him a boost to win more medals in the future.
