Doha, Lekhwiya took on Al Khor in round nineteen of the Qatar Stars League (QSL) at the Lekhwiya stadium on Friday. The Cops (Lekhwiya) put six past the ten men of Al Khor as Yousef Al Arabi scored a hat-trick as he returned to the side after AFCON duty with Morocco.

The game took a turn in the twenty sixth minute when Al Khor keeper Baba Djibril gave away a penalty for a foul on Nam Tae Hee and received a red card for dissent following the spot kick decision.Ghaith Jumaa came in as the replacement keeper as he came on in place of Babou Sidiki. Youssef El Arabi stepped up for the penalty and slotted it into the bottom right corner to give Lekhwiya the lead against ten man, Al Khor.

In the thirty ninth minute Youssef Msakni dribbled past a couple of Al Khor players and then played a defence splitting pass to Nam Tae Hee in the box. The South Korean found himself one on one with keeper and then put the ball into the net past the keeper, Ghaith Jumaa, to double Lekhwiya’s lead.

The Cops were awarded a second penalty when Youssef El Arabi was fouled in the box. The Moroccan international then took the penalty and scored after hitting the ball into the bottom right corner of the goal to score the third goal of the evening in the fifty ninth minute.

Youssef El Arabi i got himself a hat trick in the sixty sixth minute. Youssef Msakni’s shot from outside the box hit the post and then deflected off the keeper into the path of the Moroccan striker, who guided the ball into the net to score his third goal of the night.

Just eight minutes later, Youssef Msakni bulldozed his way into the box from the left hand side going past three players before curling it past the keeper into the far side of the net to make the score 5-0.

Nam Tae Hee put the final nail in the coffin in the seventy ninth minute as he scored the sixth goal for Lekhwiya. The Korean midfielder dribbled towards the edge of the box, created some space and then sent the ball into the goal with a long range strike leaving the keeper flatfooted.

The result means that Djamel Belmadi’s men stay at the top of the table with forty nine points. Al Khor on the other hand have nineteen points after as many games following this heavy defeat.
