Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science (QNCECS) has launched the National Campaign for the Right to Education, in partnership with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Doha, the National Human Rights Committee and Education Above All Foundation (EAAF).
Dr Hamda al-Sulaiti, Secretary-General of QNCECS, underlined that the human development and the protection and promotion of human rights are among top priorities of Qatar. She noted that education is the most important human right for its main role in preparing skilled workforce capable of leading the country's overall development drive.
Al-Sulaiti added that Qatar pledged a generous initiative by HH the Amir to provide a good education for million girls by 2021, while the EAAF has over 10 million children not enrolled in education around the world. She said the global campaign for the right to education, launched yesterday comes within the framework of the efforts of the Qatar to support the right to education at the national and global levels to achieve Qatar National Vision 2030.
