RJ flight returns to Larnaca Airport after suspected technical failure

Royal Jordanian said Monday that flight RJ 134 was forced to return to Larnaca International Airport in Cyprus 26 minutes after taking off when a technical failure was suspected.

The national carrier told Petra Monday that no malfunction was detected, and the flight headed to Queen Alia International Airport in Amman after “all technical and preventive measures were taken to ensure the safety of the 55 passengers on board.”

The airline reiterated that the passengers’ safety is its top priority and is above all considerations in cases of emergency landing.
