Doha, Thursday will see round 5 of the Arabian Pro Series take place on the circuit of Qatar Racing Club (QRC). The competition is organized in cooperation between Qatar and Bahrain.
The Arabian Pro Series is held under the auspices of President of QRC HE Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Thani, President of The Automobile Federation of Bahrain Sheikh Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Chief Executive, Bahrain International Circuit Shaikh Salman Bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Bahrain had hosted the first three rounds of the competition. Round four was held in Qatar last week. Doha will host round six as well on Feb. 9 -Feb. 10, before going back to Bahrain for the final two rounds of the competition in March.
Arabian Pro Series is the most notable drag racing event in the GCC, given its popularity and the participation it is seeing. In addition to champions from the GCC member countries, US drivers are taking part in the competition as well.
