Red Sea Global (RSG) has received the “Outstanding Developer” award, part of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Homes Awards 2023.
This achievement is testimony to RSG’s commitment to regenerative tourism and responsible development. Part of this is operating the Red Sea destination using 100% renewable energy, adhering to American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) standards, meeting LEED Credit requirements, and using modular construction to reduce waste and appropriate handling of waste on site at all stages of development.
RSG has also achieved Platinum LEED certification for a collection of villas and townhouses in its coastal village “Turtle Bay”, a residential and commercial area housing workers, employees and management of the RSG. Turtle Bay includes restaurants, a wide range of leisure and recreational facilities, and a hospital offering primary and secondary care to residents and visitors. Its buildings have been held to stringent environmental standards during development.
RSG has achieved an overall score of 94 out of 100 in the latest ESG-assessment and benchmark exercise by Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB), and has been awarded, as a result, the “Regional Sector Leader Award”, which honors companies that have outperformed their sector.
