Russian government authorities announced Saturday that the State Duma’s electronic election system was subjected to 3 cyber attacks from foreign countries, and that they targeted the voting system to remove it from service, without specifying its source.
“The attacks were very strong, we know that there are attacks in preparation for Sunday, which is the main day of voting, which is partly online,” Electoral Commission official Alexander Sokolchuk said in a statement.
