Sa’ada Governor and Deputy Minister of Technical Education inaugurate Vocational Training Center building in Sa’ada


Sa’ada Governor , Muhammad Jaber Awad, and the Deputy Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training, Dr. Muhammad Al-Saqqaf, opened today ,Wednesday, the building of the vocational training center in the province, which was implemented with funding from the Skills Development Fund at a cost of 245 million riyals.

Awad and Al-Saqqaf, along with the Secretary-General of the province’s local district, Muhammad Al-Imad, and the Deputy Executive Director of the Skills Development Fund, Yahya Al-Wadaei, were briefed on the progress of work in the carpentry, mechanical, electrical, automotive and accessories workshops, at an estimated cost of six million and 500 thousand riyals, funded by the Office of Technical Education , Vocational Training and the local authority in the province.

Abu Talib pointed out the importance of the role of vocational education in creating job opportunities for youth, reducing unemployment by entering the labor market, and achieving sustainable development to serve generations
.

He pointed out the necessity of developing the vocational education sector, linking it to basic and university education, and enhancing curricula to ensure students are encouraged to engage in vocational and technical education.

During the opening, Governor Awad and Dr. Al-Saqqaf stressed the importance of opening the building and the workshops it contains that contribute to training and qualifying young people in the fields of carpentry, mechanics, electricity, and cars.

Awad and Al-Saqqaf stressed the necessity of providing the technical education sector with all the requirements and needs that contribute to developing its outputs.

For his part, Director of Support at the Skills Development Fund, Khaled Hamran, explained that the center building project includes offices for the technical and vocational education department in the province, classrooms, and a multi-purpose public hall for holding short training courses.

In addition, Sa’ada Governor and the Deputy Minister of Technical Education and Voc
ational Training inspected the progress of the educational process at the Commercial Technical Institute.

They heard from the Dean of the Commercial Technical Institute, Hadi Ahmed Al-Araj, an explanation about the progress of the educational process at the institute and the institute’s necessary needs to advance the educational process and agree to open new specializations required by the labor market and provide job opportunities for graduates.
