Saudi Arabia, the Maldives Enhance Cooperation in Combating Corruption

The President of the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority, Mazen bin Ibrahim Al-Kahmous, hosted here today a meeting with the President of the Anti-Corruption Commission of the Republic of Maldives, Adam Shamil, along with his delegation.

The primary focus of the meeting was to explore avenues for collaboration between the two countries in safeguarding integrity and combating corruption. Both sides discussed various strategies and initiatives that can be jointly implemented to address this issue.

During the meeting, the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority provided an overview of significant efforts in protecting integrity, promoting transparency, and combating corruption. The delegation from the Republic of Maldives shared their own experiences in the same field.

Furthermore, as a demonstration of their commitment to combatting corruption, the Kingdom and the Republic of Maldives signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), which aims to enhance cooperation in the fight against corruption by facilitating the exchange of information on corruption crimes and strengthening the respective institutions of both countries.
