SDRPY Launches Vital Development Projects in Yemen

Under the patronage of the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen, Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) launched several vital development projects and programs in Yemen, provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia following the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Yemeni Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik and SDRPY General Supervisor Ambassador Mohammed bin Saeed Al Jabir attended the launch.

A ceremony was held today to mark the launch of these development projects and initiatives, including the opening of a project for the rehabilitation and operation of the Aden General Hospital and the establishment of the heart center, inaugurating the first and second phases of the rehabilitation project of Aden International Airport, laying the foundation stone for the third phase of the rehabilitation project of Aden International Airport, opening educational projects involving modern model schools, and launching the second phase of the “proper housing” project to rehabilitate 600 housing units for low-income families in Aden.

SDRPY has so far implemented 229 development projects and initiatives in various Yemeni governorates, serving the Yemenis in seven main sectors, namely education, health, water, energy, transportation, agriculture and fisheries, and capacity building of government institutions, in addition to development programs.
