Senior Italian military commander hails partnership with Kuwait

Italy’s Defense Undersecretary Matteo Perego di Cremnago has expressed pride of his nation’s friendship and strategic partnership with Kuwait and described relations between the two countries’ air forces as exemplary.

Di Cremnago, who swas peaking during journalists’ inspection of the International Flight Training School (IFTS), said that the facility trains pilots on fifth and fourth generations aircraft, indicating that the Kuwaiti airmen could benefit quite well from the skills taught by the trainers at the advanced academy.

“We are fully holding to our partnership with Kuwait at the level of the air forces,” he said, also indicating at the cooperation within framework of the international coalition for fighting the notorious militant group, Daesh.

The senior Italian military official expressed desire to host a large number of Kuwaiti cadet officers to get lessons on the latest innovations in the field of air navigation.

The facility is currently holding marathon training courses extending for 12 months. Participants are being trained on AM-346 aircraft.

The trainees are from several foreign and Arab countries, including Germany, Austria, Canada, Britain, Japan, Singapre, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
