Prices of oil and its derivatives decreased significantly in global markets in the second week of March, compared to their average price for the first week of the month, according to data announced by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources on Monday.
The price of gasoline "octane 90" reached $349.2 per ton, compared to its average price in the first week of $477.5, a decrease of 26.9 percent, while the price of gasoline "octane 95" was down from $496.1 per ton to reach $363.6, a decrease of 26.7 percent, according to the data.
The diesel fuel price also went down from $444.6 per ton to $349.6, with a drop of 21.4 percent, while the price of Kerosene dropped down from $452.1 per ton to $348.1, a decrease of 23 percent, the date showed.
Also, the price of fuel oil decreased in the second week of March from $266.7 per ton to $185, a drop of 30.6 percent.
On the other hand, the average price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) stayed in March at $467.5 per ton, compared to its price recorded in February, which reached $535.
The price of Brent crude fell to $33.7 a barrel in the second week compared to $50.5 recorded in the first week.
