Spain rejects Israeli minister’s speech on Al-Aqsa Mosque

Spain has opposed Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir’s speech on Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, calling for respecting the sacred places.

In a statement issued on Monday, Spain’s foreign ministry said it rejected the speech of Ben-Gvir who broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque, in a call for controlling over it, under the protection of the Israeli police.

The statement called on the parties to do their best in order to avoid tension at the Mosque’s compound, maintain stability and support Jordan’s efforts in this matter.
