SPEAKER BERRI CONGRATULATES THE LEBANESE ON ADHA OCCASION, APOLOGIZES FOR NOT RECEIVING WELL-WISHERS DUE TO PREVAILING SITUATION

On the eve of the blessed Adha occasion, House Speaker Nabih Berri, congratulated the Lebanese in general, and Muslims in particular, and wished the pilgrims of the Holy House of God an “accepted pilgrimage and a commendable endeavor”, announcing his apology for “not receiving well-wishers on the holiday due to the current situation in Lebanon.” The Speaker also received a cable of congratulations from the Speaker of the Tunisian People’s Assembly, Ibrahim Bou Derbala, on the Adha Eid. On another note, Speaker Berri received at Ain al-Tineh Palace today Public Prosecutor, Judge Ghassan Oweidat, accompanied by a delegation from the Board of Trustees of the ‘Mohammed Reda Al-Hajj Cultural Assembly”, who thanked the Speaker for embracing the honorary ceremony held for Judge Oweidat under the auspices of the Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, represented by the President of the Sharia Courts, Sheikh Muhammad Assaf.
