SSC allocates 85% of wages of insured working in establishments benefiting from Estidama+

The Social Security Corporation (SSC) announced the issuance of Communiqué No. 45 of 2021, which includes amending the “Estidama+” program so that the worker is paid 85 percent of his approved wage, as the program bears 80 percent of it, with an amount that doesn’t exceed JD800, while the establishment bears 20 percent, during the period from 1/9/2021 to 31/12/2021.

Under this program, the percentage of the salary allocated to the worker has become 85 percent of his approved wage instead of 75 percent as the case previously was, the SSC said Tuesday in a statement.

It added that establishments benefiting from this program will be determined in the instructions issued by the SSC Director General.

The SSC indicated that it will deduct the percentage of the worker’s insurance contributions as of September from the wage allocated to him, stressing that the amendment of this program came with the aim of enabling workers in these establishments to obtain a higher percentage of their wages.
