Stolen truck slams into cars, injures 16 in Germany

Amman, Sixteen people were injured when a driver of a stolen truck ploughed into cars in the center of the German city of Limburg late on Monday.

A statement by the German police said that based on what several witness accounts, the man seized control of the truck and soon after the truck slammed into cars near the main railway station of Limburg, crushing them together.

German news agency, quoting regional police, put the number of people hurt at 16 including one person in a critical condition.

"We currently do not have sufficient information about what was behind it," investigators said.
