Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan praises UAE healthcare workers

ABU DHABI, Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Frontline Heroes Office, has paid tribute to the healthcare workers for their invaluable contributions in the UAE, as the country marks the 9th of May as the annual ‘Emirates Medical Day’.

The day aims to recognise and celebrate the tremendous contributions to the country by our nation’s medical staff.

In a statement to mark the occasion of a new initiative held for the first time this year, Sheikh Sultan expressed his gratitude to the true heroes of society who have dedicated their lives to providing expert and compassionate care to the people of the UAE, especially throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

He described all the healthcare workers as inspiring role models and their services to the UAE are truly appreciated, as they are always at the forefront at crucial times of need and were essential to the country’s robust response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sheikh Sultan said, “As we commemorate the inaugural ‘Emirates Medical Day’ in the UAE, we celebrate and honour each and every healthcare professional that is working in the medical field across the country for their on-going commitment to improving the lives of our people and helping them live long, happy and fulfilling lives.”

He stated that The Frontline Heroes Office recognises and extends its gratitude towards the medical professionals of our nation. In line with the Office’s efforts over the last two years to champion those working on the frontline, it has launched a series of initiatives with the help of its strategic partners to support medical professionals and their families.

Sheikh Sultan added that the frontline heroes have demonstrated values of sacrifice and dedication to our country in their actions every day when protecting the UAE and its people from the threat of COVID-19. He also highlighted that their heroic actions and contributions to our society throughout the pandemic and every day will always be remembered and celebrated, and The Frontline Heroes Office will continue to provide support and recognition to the medical staff of the UAE.
